Georgia Soul Council, originally formed in Atlanta in 2010 as the backing band for Otis Redding III, reconvened in 2011 with a shift towards the 70’s era breakbeat Soul-Jazz that is their real musical passion. 2012-13 has seen GSC bring their funkified live performances to the people of the southeastern United States, and they have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Lee Fields & The Expressions, the Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra, Papa Grows Funk, Col. Bruce Hampton, the Rebirth Brass Band, and many others.
