He was raised in the industry, with his grandfather, a pianist for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the Atlanta Pops as well as co-founder of famed Doppler Studios. Initially taught to play by his father, Palmer has spent the majority of his life playing music with his focus on guitar and vocals.
With 13 years of performing live music under his belt, Matt’s cover catalogue is beyond lengthy with an unteachable ability to read crowds and lean on his intuition to get dance floors hopping. During his tenure at Georgia Tech, he co-fronted the band Poolstick and toured regionally with them for several years. After college he pursued a solo career in music where he honed his skills for stage and studio. He has shared the stage alongside groups such as Blackberry Smoke, Drivin n’ Cryin and Zac Brown Band. Playing professionally since 2005, Palmer expresses a soulful vocal tone accompanied by dynamic energy and continues to grow his dexterities with Atlanta Wedding Band.
